The idea became necessary when Dr. Sasha became a mother. When her son was a baby, she was packing for a trip and needed first aid supplies she was used to using in the hospital in case he needed something while they were away. She found herself wishing for something comprehensive and practical to take on the go—something that would help her be prepared for whatever might come up with her baby. After putting the first kit together, friends and family wanted a kit of their own. That was the spark needed for her to take the next steps.

Dr. Sasha had developed effective home-made first aid kits, but they needed refinement. When she partnered with Luciano, a pharmacist and business investor with over 40 years of experience, he immediately saw the potential. Luciano not only provided expertise in sourcing quality supplies but also brought in his daughter Emily, a creative director, to transform the concept. Emily developed the complete brand identity as well as packaging design and production while also stepping into the role of COO. Through this collaboration of medical expertise, pharmaceutical knowledge, and creative vision, Mother Bear Medical was born.
